AXIS Dance Company is creating a site-specific work for the beautiful urban environment of Yerba Buena Gardens, choreographed by Sonsheree Giles. This ground-breaking ensemble of dancers with and without physical disabilities will utilize the ramps and various spaces to connect art and landscape. An ensemble of musicians will perform pieces composed by Caroline Penwarden. AXIS Dance Company is a jewel of contemporary dance and disability culture, paving the way for its powerful physically integrated dance form. Commissioned by Yerba Buena Gardens Festival.
