The 2002 Yerba Buena Gardens Festival Presents the Golden Gate Opera on Sunday, September 15, 2002
San Francisco, CA. August 20, 2002. San Francisco's Golden Gate Opera presents "Broadway in the Gardens," Sunday, September 15 at 2pm in the Esplanade of Yerba Buena Gardens. The FREE performance is part of the 2002 Yerba Buena Gardens Festival.
Bring a blanket, a picnic, and enjoy songs of Stephen Sondheim, plus selections from Showboat, Les Misérables, The Sound of Music, Candide, Don Quixote, My Fair Lady, and more.
Singers are Sopranos Rebekah Askeland, Beverlyjane Peatross, Gina Silverman, Mezzo Roberta Wain-Becker, Tenor Monty Zanetti, and Baritone Genaddi Badasov with accompanist Svetlana Gorzhevskaya of the San Francisco Opera.
