YERBA BUENA GARDENS FESTIVAL PRESENTS
THE 7TH ANNUAL GARDENS HALLOWEEN COSTUME WALK
(San Francisco, CA) -- The Yerba Buena Gardens Festival presents the 7th Annual Gardens Halloween Costume Walk on Sunday, October 28 from noon to 2:00pm at the Yerba Buena Children’s Garden at 4th and Howard Streets in downtown San Francisco. Hosted by Derique the High-Tech Clown, and featuring live music by Jackie Rago's Women of the World, children under ten and their families will parade around in Halloween finery.
The Gardens Halloween Costume Walk also features interactive performances and games for kids. Pumpkins, now growing in the Yerba Buena Learning Garden, will be ready for painting with the assistance of YB Garden Guides. Yerba Buena neighbors Metreon, Zeum, MoAD, the Yerba Buena Ice Skating and Bowling Center, and Mo's Grill provide treats and discounts for trick-or-treaters in costume, including free carousel rides for costumed kiddies on the Carousel, courtesy of Zeum.
The Children's Garden is located at Howard Street between 3rd and 4th Street in San Francisco's SOMA District. The Yerba Buena Gardens Festival, which takes place from May through October, features over 100 events, including classical and jazz concerts, opera, international music events, theater, dance, children's and family programs, visual art exhibits, educational programs and cultural events.
